SnowGlobe teams up with Waste-Free Earth, Sugar Pine Foundation and others for sustainable festival

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Many see the annual SnowGlobe Music Festival in South Lake Tahoe differently - some as a concert, others as noise. What many don't know is the sustainable platform organizers have established over the years.

Each year SnowGlobe and their partners Waste-Free Earth, Chris's Cleaning, Full Circle Compost and South Tahoe Refuse work together on reducing and reusing the waste created at the festival, and with the Sugarpine Foundation to plant trees for future forests.

Help the Sugar Pine Founation by donating or planting a seedling

Officially Earth Day is over, but the spirit runs throughout the Lake Tahoe Basin all year long. One way that the public can help the environment is to join forces with the Sugar Pine Foundation.

Kudos: True Tahoe support for community events

Thanks to the support of 38 local businesses/organizations, dozens of local vendors and hundreds of weekly attendees, On Course Events produced over 20 community events this summer, including 3 brand new event series’.

“None of these events would be possible without the support we have from our local
community,” states Leslie Schultz of On Course Events. “The best part is we’re able to recycle that support right back into the community and the local non-profit organizations that support it. That’s true Tahoe support!”

Tahoe Douglas Rotary gives out community awards

Each year the Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club holds their signature fundraiser, the St. Patrick's Day Celebration, and because of this they are able to give away tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships, grants and gifts to members of the community.

On Friday, local non-profits were handed the fruits of the Rotarian's labor at their annual community donation day.

This year, the following groups received a donation either at the meeting or during the school year:
Zephyr Cove Elementary School
Boy Scouts Troop 468
Boy Scouts Troop 594
WHittell High Boosters
