Barton's COVID response fund receives $110,000 in donations to help locals

The Barton Foundation’s 2020 virtual gala received overwhelming support from donors, raising a record-breaking $110,000 to benefit the Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund. These donations are immediately being put to use, helping community members hit hardest by the pandemic: those facing food insecurity and other economic hardship, as well as healthcare workers on the frontline.

Child Advocates of El Dorado is holding its first one-hour virtual Gala on November 7 starting at 6:00 p.m.
The event is free to attend, but it is the local Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) annual fundraiser, hosted this year by Eileen Javora Boeger. There will be live entertainment by world-renown performance painter David Garibaldi.
CASA El Dorado benefits the community by serving the abused, neglected and at-risk children in our county’s foster care system. This is accomplished by recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers from the community.
Wild & Free 2020 free virtual gala for Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care (LTWC) has moved their annual Wild & Free Gala to a virtual format this year, and it's free to hop on and learn about how everyone can help the nonprofit raise funds to keep operations going.
On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, the event starts at 7:00 p.m. but entertaining and informational preshow festivities start at 6:30 p.m.
