Lake Tahoe ski and snowboard swap at MontBleu to benefit Heavenly foundation

The Heavenly Ski and Snowboard Foundation will host the 24th Annual Ski and Snowboard Swap at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa on Saturday Nov. 17.
Proceeds will benefit the Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides skiing and snowboarding programs and events for regional youth and local middle school and high school students. The swap runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Warren Miller film 'Flow State' arrives at Lake Tahoe

There's nothing like a great ski and board film to get primed for the winter season. At South Shore Lake Tahoe there's two coming events worth noting: Warren Miller’s 63rd annual film, “Flow State” will be shown at at MontBleu Resort Casino and Spa Nov. 29-30 as part of a 240-city tour.
This annual Miller-produced homage to all things skiing and boarding takes viewers to the top of the world’s most striking peaks in Norway, Austria, California, Switzerland and beyond.

Heavenly Ski and Snowboard Foundation 2012-13 season registration begins

The Heavenly Ski and Snowboard Foundation at Lake Tahoe has opened registration for the 2012 – 2013 competitive and development ski and snowboard programs. With a variety of options from the One-Day Program to the Full-Time Competitive Program, the Foundation has something for all ages and levels of skiers and riders. Registration packets are available online and at the HSSF building.

SnowGlobe Lake Tahoe 2012 lineup includes Chromeo, Deadmau5, Wiz Khalifa

Chromeo, Deadmau5 and Wiz Khalifa will round out 2012 and ring in 2013 at the SnowGlobe Music Festival this winter in South Lake Tahoe, Dec. 29-31.

The Lake Tahoe Winter Games Exploratory Committee announced additional members of its Board of Directors Wednesday after convening its inaugural meeting in Olympic Valley, Calif. last week. Registration open for Kinder Kup Race Series to Benefit Heavenly Foundation

The Heavenly Ski and Snowboard Foundation will kick-off the 12th Annual Kinder Kup Race Series at Heavenly Mountain Resort on Sunday, January 22, from 8am to 2pm. Open to all skiers and snowboarders age six and under, the Kinder Kup series is designed to introduce young athletes to competition in a friendly environment. Heavenly Ski and Snowboard Foundation Announces Freeride Ski Team

The Heavenly Ski and Snowboard Foundation has announced two new programs for the 2011 – 2012 winter season under the Freestyle umbrella. The Foundation will offer two Freeride program options, the One-Day Program and the Full-Time Competitive Program. These programs are open to intermediate to advanced level skiers aged ten to 18 who have a passion for slopestyle, skiercross and halfpipe training.

Those who register and pay in full now will receive the early registration pricing; prices increase $100 on November 1, 2011.
