Bring your positive vibrations to the ski and snowboard alter Thursday, Nov. 15 for Camp Richardson’s annual “Pray for Snow” party at The Fresh Ketch at the Tahoe Keys Marina in South Lake Tahoe. The party begins at 7 p.m. with live music from Cool Black Kettle, Ike & JT, quirky contests, dancing, food and drink specials.

LTCC Theater Arts Department presents 'Lone Star' and 'Laundry and Bourbon'

The Lake Tahoe Community College Theatre Arts Department is proud to present an hilarious evening of theatre with the duet, “Lone Star” and “Laundry and Bourbon,” two companion one-act comedies by renowned playwright, James McLure. The production is directed by Susan Boulanger.

Performances are November 15, 16, 17 at 8:00 p.m, and November 18 at 2:00 p.m.
Tickets: $10 General Admission, $7.00 Seniors, $5.00 Students with valid I.D., and children under 13; free for veterans and active military. Children under 6 will not be allowed in the theatre.

League to Save Lake Tahoe teams up with Groovebox for Tahoe Blue Halloween celebration

Step into a blue Halloween at the American Legion in South Lake Tahoe on Halloween night. The League to Save Lake Tahoe is teaming up with local progressive rockers Groovebox to stage a Halloween Party all about keeping it blue. A costume contest will award prizes for best overall costume and most creative blue costume.

Other attractions include raffles and a special Halloween photo booth. A portion of proceeds will help support the League to Save Lake Tahoe. Show starts at 8 p.m., $10 cover and 18+, American Legion, 2748 Young Street, South Lake Tahoe.

Family emergency forces Paula Poundstone to cancel Carson City appearance

Comedienne Paula Poundstone has canceled her Friday appearance in Carson City due to a family emergency. Friends of the Carson Ciy Library President Phyllis Patton said tickets will be refunded and more information will be made available soon.
The show will be scheduled at a later date, Patton said. Ticket sales had started out slow but began to pick up this week, she said.
