Man swims Lake Tahoe to raise awareness of Congo

After more than 11 hours in the water, Keris Dahlkamp, 36, changed course and came up just a little short of his quest to swim 22 miles from South Lake Tahoe to Kings Beach on the north shore.

LEGO's of all shapes and sizes fill the entire exhibit in Heavenly Village. If you're 10 years old, life doesn't get much better than this.
"Instead of having to drive down in California to go to LEGOLAND, we can just come here," says 10-year-old Griffin Howell.
You can't just find something like this anywhere you go. This hands-on exhibit is only in three other cities across the country this summer.

The region's best food, wine, and art in the Sierra Nevada will be highlighted at the 3rd annual Sample the Sierra farm-to-fork festival. This popular community event is on Sunday, Sept. 2 on Ski Run Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe.
This year, 15 local restaurants and farmers will be paired together to produce mouthwatering samples for festival-goers to enjoy. Each food sample will be paired with an accompanying wine, also local to the region.

The environmental non-profit is preparing for its 2nd Annual Founders Circle Summer Dinner, to be held at Edgewood Tahoe’s historic Friday’s Station on Sunday, August 12th. Billed as a night to celebrate the organization’s early funders and the Lake, the event will include “Tahoe Croquet” and a gourmet dinner on the lawn. Senators Feinstein, Heller and Governor Brown have all confirmed their attendance.
