Lake Tahoe young professionals group launches scholarship component of its organization

Tahoe Regional Young Professionals will launch its ongoing scholarship/continuing educational program by offering one qualified member the opportunity to take part in Leadership Lake Tahoe for the 2013-14 term, valued at $900.

TRYP’s Continuing Education: The mission of TahoeChamber.org Leadership Lake Tahoe is to identify and develop current and future leaders through a comprehensive professional development program designed to increase knowledge and awareness of the issues and challenges facing the South Shore of Lake Tahoe.

TRYP Volunteers and Gives Back:
TRYP is involved with various volunteer opportunities as well as supporting local organizations and non-profits. Recently, TRYP purchased an inscribed brick to support the Boys & Girls Club Bricks for Kids Program to help continue build its foundation. Boys & Girls Club was established in South Lake Tahoe in 1991 by a group of community leaders who saw the need for a program that would provide a safe and positive place for youth to spend their out of school time.

TRYP Mixes and Mingles:
Did you know that average mixers attracts 50-70 young professionals and provide businesses $500 - $1,000 in additional sales on a weeknight while building loyal customers? Email TahoeTRYP@gmail.com to learn about sponsorship opportunities to host a mixer. Monthly mixer admission is complimentary for TRYP members and $5 for non-members. Annual TRYP memberships cost $40. Key benefits and resources include: professional development opportunities; networking/mingling with over 250 young professionals from across the region through Mixers and “FUN”draisers; leadership experience and opportunities to give back to an array of charities.
