Tahoe Regional Young Professionals Members Offer Slew of Summer Mixers and Events

Tahoe Regional Young Professionals keep the summer sizzling with their next mixer at Brothers Bar & Grill, July 24 from 7 – 10 p.m. Food and drink specials will be flowing throughout the evening.
Brothers Bar is located at 888 Emerald Bay Rd South Lake Tahoe, Calif. Board members will be sporting their TRYP t-shirts and encourage others wear them to events.

Upcoming Community Events:

The new “Live at Lakeview Commons,” is every Thursday this summer with variety of musicians: bluegrass, rock, reggae, etc. performing as the sunsets from 4 – 8 p.m. at South Shore’s newest recreation area Lakeview Commons, formally El Dorado Beach. TRYP will have a booth to inform the community about our goals and begin taking membership.

Key benefits and resources for TRYP Members include: Professional Development opportunities; networking/mingling with over 250 young professionals from across the region through Mixers and “FUN”draisers; leadership experience; opportunities to give back to an array of charities and access to a directory of other members via this website once you log in as a member. Membership dues are $40.00 annually, effective for one year from the purchase date.

“What You May Not Know” is a monthly professional development series offered the last Wednesday of every month with topics ranging from buying your first home, financial planning, personal growth and leadership. The free discussions are organized by Erik Watada’s State Farm Insurance Agency and will begin, Wednesday, July 25 at MacDuff’s Public House at 5:30 p.m. Natalie Yanish from Deb Howard & Co. will be the presenter to talk about feasibility of buying a home in South Shore. The scheduled topic on life insurance will be a luncheon (noon) discussion, Aug. 29. The third professional development will be, Oct. 24 at Happy Hour (5:30 p.m.) and provide insight on insurance and retirement planning. They'll continue to rotate between Happy Hour and luncheons.

South Lake Tahoe’s Annual Relay for Life all-day event will be at Kahle Community Park, Sat. Aug. 11, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Teams, up to 12 members, take turns walking around the track throughout the event to symbolize that cancer never sleeps. Games, activities, food vendors, dedicated lap for survivors, a Luminaria ceremony and more are all part of the annual event. For details go here.
