50th annual Tahoe Douglas St. Patrick's Day celebration

Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club’s 50th annual St. Patrick's Day event will be held on Saturday, March 17 from 6:00 p.m. to 10;00 p.m. at Harrah’s Convention
Center in Stateline, Nevada.

This year there will be some new twists as they hit this milestone event which started as a wine and cheese tasting above DART Liquor.

The club promises one-of-kind auction items, SURPRISE special performers, not one but TWO chances for a trip to Hawaii through our Hawaiian Raffle and their first ever Costume and Beard Contests, and much more.

This year's Community Hero Awards will go to teachers.

Buffet
The All-You-Can-Eat Irish Buffet features traditional corned beef and cabbage with yellow and stone ground mustards and horseradish along with potato pancakes, apple sauce, baby carrots, fruit salad, mixed greens, and assorted freshly baked breads and rolls. Irish-theme pastry bar and freshly ground Columbian and French roast coffee for dessert.

Wine, Beer and Spirits
The one-of-a-kind "O'Rotary's Cellar and Pub" offers an open bar for wine and beer. Play the Mystery Wine Game by making a $20 donation and selecting a random wine cork that could match a bottle of wine valued at $20-100 to take to your table. Tahoe Blue Vodka will also be present and other cocktails may be purchased at the Harrah's cash bar.

Every dollar raised in the annual event goes to fund scholarships, academic projects, support of local organizations and much more. They will also continue their partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation which spearheads the effort to eradicate Polio from the world, an effort Rotary International has participated in since it threatened millions a year.
