One new person tests positive for COVID-19 in El Dorado County

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - One new case of COVID-19 has been reported in El Dorado County. The new case is in Placerville, bringing the total in the county to 29.

El Dorado Hills - 10
East Slope (including South Lake Tahoe and Meyers) - 9

Placerville - 5
Cameron Park, Shingle Springs, Rescue - 3
North County - 2

There have been no deaths from COVIF-19 in El Dorado County.

Washoe County

Washoe County reported three deaths to COVID-19 on Wednesday:

Male in his 70s with underlying health conditions
Female in her 80s; it is being determined if there were underlying health conditions
Female in her 60s with underlying health conditions

The county, which includes Incline Village, Reno and Sparks has had 325 total cases and they report 35 cases. 27 people are currently hospitalized.

Quad Counties (Carson City, Douglas, Storey, Lyon)

There were three new cases reported as of 6:00 p.m. April 7, bringing the quad counties up to 25 total cases, 17 active and 8 recoveries:

A female Carson City resident in her 40’s
A female Douglas County resident in her 30’s
A male Carson City resident in his 20’s

The cases are self-isolating in their homes and are in stable conditions. Carson City Health and Human Services is working to identify close risk contacts to prevent further spread of the disease. Due to medical privacy requirements and to protect their identity, no further information about the cases will be released.

Carson City - 13 cases with 4 recoveries
Douglas County - 8 cases with 4 recoveries
Lyon County - 4 cases
Storey County - 0 cases

Alpine County

Alpine County has no new cases reported and a total of two cases.

Placer County

There are a total of 117 cases of COVID-19 in Placer County and that figure includes cases in the following communities - Alta, Applegate, Auburn, Carnelian Bay, Elverta, Foresthill, Granite Bay, Kings Beach, Lincoln, Loomis, Meadow Vista, Newcastle, Olympic Valley, Penryn, Rocklin, Roseville, Sheridan, Tahoe City, Truckee.

There have been four deaths in the county. There are a total of 19 people hospitalized with 10 of those in ICU.
