What does recreational cannabis mean for the Lake Tahoe community? A chance to discuss the passage of California's Proposition 64 and Nevada's Question 2 will be held on Wednesday, April 19 at the Tahoe Beach Retreat Conference Center from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
This will be an installment of the Tahoe Regional Young Professionals (TRYP) Town Hall Series that focuses on bringing the community together for civic discussions.
Featured during the evening will be a panel of local and regional experts including: Lori Ajax, Chief of the Bureau of Medical Cannabis Regulation for the State of California; Dr. Sherellen Brook Gerhart from Barton Hospital; Police Chief Brian Uhler; local dispensary owner Cody Bass, and more. Each panelist will face a round of moderator questions followed by an open question and answer session with the audience.
For those who cannot attend in person, the first half of the event will be live streamed by Tahoe Production House on the Civic Engagement page at TahoeTRYP.org. The full event will be available for viewing after the night concludes on the TRYP website.
Questions may be submitted for the panel ahead of time at TahoeTRYP.org, or on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #TahoeTownHall.
