City wants your opinion on snow removal of local bike paths

The City of South Lake Tahoe clears Class 1 Bike/Multiuse paths after major snowstorms, and they are asking for the public's opinion about how they spend snow removal funds in their newest citizen survey.
In their effort to provide a safe alternative to Highway 50 and to improve connectivity for the public, some Measure R funds were used to contract with a local snow removal vendor to clear paths including those from Eloise Ave. to Ponderosa St.behind Motel 6, Silver Dollar Ave. to Sussex Ave. behind Fitness Evolution/Push fitness, on Rubicon Trail to Tulare Ave. behind Meeks, on Harrison Avenue bike path to Lakeview Commons and on both sides of Ski Run Blvd.
Once snow was removed from roads, the City staff cleared any of the other bike paths.
El Dorado County is also considering using Measure R funds to clear their bike paths in the Basin during the winter months.
The City's survey is meant to gather the public's opinion about the expenses, if the paths are used in winter, and about their feelings on Measure R and S funds being used in this manner. Measure S was passed by the voters in September 2000
to provide, among several things, money to be used to maintain new bike trails.
Measure R followed, being passed by the voters in November 2011 to provide funding for old Class I bicycle path maintenance.
