Fourth suspect arrested in South Lake Tahoe murder case

Georgetown, Calif., resident Tevarez Lopez has been arrested as a suspect in the January 30, 2016 murder in South Lake Tahoe of Dennis Wright, Jr.

At the time of Lopez’ arrest he was already in the custody of the El Dorado County jail in Placerville on unrelated criminal charges including the manufacturing of a controlled substance and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Tavarez has been charged with murder in this case, and remains in the custody of the El Dorado County jail in Placerville.

Wright was killed after coming to South Lake Tahoe from his home in Amador County to sell 100 pounds of marijuana from a room at the Beverly Lodge according to the South Lake Tahoe Police Department.

Previously arrested in the murder were Domenic Randolph, 22, who was arrested in Texas on April 19, 18-year-old Tristan Batten and 20-year-old Harvest Davidson who were arrested in Vallejo and Sacramento in February.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the fifth suspect, Dion Jermaine Randolph Vaccaro, 26d, who is former resident of Vallejo, Calif. He is pictured in the story and described as being 200 pounds and six feet tall.

Law enforcement anticipates the arrest of additional outstanding suspects. Because of the ongoing investigation, no more information is being released at this time.

The murder weapon in this case still remains outstanding. Outstanding suspects in this case are considered armed and dangerous.
