Another arrest connected to South Lake Tahoe murder

The arrests continue around the country in response to the January, 2016 murder of 40-year-old Dennis Wright at the Beverly Lodge in South Lake Tahoe. In an apparent drug deal gone bad, Wright was shot to death in the motel's parking lot after allegedly bringing 100 pounds of marijuana to town to sell.

On Thursday morning, detectives from the South Lake Tahoe Police Department, along with Fairfield Police Officers, arrested Andrew Adams, a 25-year-old Suisun City, Calif., resident on charges of robbery.

Adams was booked into the Solano County Jail and will be transported to the El Dorado County Jail to answer to the charges.

Since the robbery of the 100 pounds of marijuana and Wright's murder, five other men and one woman have been arrested in three other states besides California, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma.

Preliminary judicial matters have been taking place over the last few months, with all suspects appearing in court prior to trials. Wright's mother and family have been at each hearing, wearing a button with his image, or carrying other items with Wright's face on it to show there was a victim.

During last week's pre-preliminary hearing for Tristan Batten, 18, and Harvest Davidson, 20, their friends and family members showed up in support, also wearing buttons with their loved one's images. These two men are being held in the El Dorado County jail in South Lake Tahoe and their next court date is October 7.

Both Batten, from Vallejo, and Davidson, from Antioch, are charged with murder.

Tevarez Lopez, a 33-year-old man from Georgetown, Calif., faces several charges stemming from the January 30 murder and robbery. Besides murder, he faces additional charges including manufacturing Butane Oil and being a Felon in possession of a firearm. He'll next be in court on September 20. He too is in the jail in South Lake Tahoe.

Domenic Randolf, 22, sits in the jail in Placerville on murder charges after being arrested in Texas. He is joined there by Dion Jermaine Vaccaro, 24, besides murder, he will answer to domestic violence charges and violation of probation. Both men are from Vallejo, Calif. and their next preliminary court hearing is the same as Lopez, September 20.

18-year-old Vanessa Muzio was arrested February 27 in the State of New Mexico and charged with being an accessory to murder. She is currently housed in the El Dorado County Jail in South Lake Tahoe. Her next court date has not been scheduled.
