El Dorado County employment office in South Lake Tahoe closes for a few weeks

The El Dorado County Employment Resource Center located in South Lake Tahoe will be closed for several weeks for needed building repairs which include mold remediation, painting and new carpeting. Originally the office, located in Suite 100 of the El Dorado Center at 3368 Lake Tahoe Boulevard, was going to be temporarily closed for just this week.

Other offices in the same building, including County Income Support and Child Welfare Services, will remain open and provide services to the public.

The Employment Resource Center provides free job assistance services to El Dorado County residents who are looking for jobs or want to improve their job readiness skills. The Center also offers onsite computers for job searches.

During the office repairs, individuals needing access to computers to search for jobs may visit the El Dorado County Library or the ADVANCE program at Lake Tahoe Community College in South Lake Tahoe. Individuals enrolled in the County’s Welfare-to-Work or General Assistance programs who are required to complete job search activities may complete these tasks at the El Dorado Center using laptops and assistance from staff in a temporary designated area of the building.

Updates regarding the project and office closure dates will be posted to the County’s website at www.edcgov.us/hhsa. The Employment Resource Center is a program of the El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA).
