Candidates sought for two South Lake Tahoe City Council seats

In November's election, voters will select two City Council members for South Lake Tahoe. The four-year terms for Hal Cole and JoAnn Conner will be over, though both may run for reelection.
On July 18 at 9:00 a.m., filing opens, and it goes until August 12 at 5:00 p.m., or until August 17 at 5:00 p.m. if an incumbent does not run.
Anyone who is interested should make an appointment with City Clerk Susan Alessi. She will meet with the candidate an go over filing papers and the candidate handbook, which takes approximately one hour. She can be reached at salessi@cityofslt.us or (530)542-6004.
The terms for the other three Council members, Mayor Wendy David, Mayor Pro Tem Austin Sass and former Mayor Tom Davis all go until November, 2018.
