Siev was driving his white Dodge Durango westbound in the No. 1 lane of Highway 50, at at a speed between 35-45 miles per hour when he drifted into the center left turn lane, and struck a red Ford Escape facing eastbound, which was stopped in preparation to make a left turn, said Williams.

The head-on collision injured the mother and two children who are visiting the South Lake Tahoe area from Pennsylvania. The three were taken to Barton Hospital by ambulance for non-life threatening injuries. Siev was not hurt in the crash.
