South Lake Tahoe police investigating road rage-related stabbing

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A suspected road rage incident in South Lake Tahoe Friday night led to the stabbing of a 43-year-old male.

On August 14 at approximately 10:06 p.m., several calls were made to 911 about the stabbing on Tallac Avenue near the intersection with Lake Tahoe Boulevard. The South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) responded and found the victim stabbed multiple times.

At this time SLTPD says the road rage incident turned physical, leading to the stabbing of the victim who was transported to Renown Medical Center in Reno via helicopter. He is in serious but stable conditions according to SLTPD.

The suspect fled the scene in a silver Audi sedan.

SLTPD closed lanes at the intersection to conduct the investigation and interviewed witnesses.
