September Events with Tahoe Regional Young Professionals

September is Membership Month, and the Tahoe Regional Young Professionals (TRYP) has a busy month ahead with lots of great events, mixers, and ways to get involved in the community.

On Wednesday, September 10th, TRYP will host the Monthly Networking Mixer at Lake Tahoe Golf Course immediately following the City Council Candidates Forum. Attendees are encouraged to attend the Forum to get to know the candidates running for the open City Council Seats before the November elections. The Forum will run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and all attendees are encouraged to stay for the mixer immediately following from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Admission will be free for both members and non-members and includes delicious appetizers.

TRYP is excited to present “Cover Your Assets” Professional Development Workshop on Wednesday, September 17. Zion Fink of Techtastic Lake Tahoe IT Consulting will provide a power hour of basic practices in data backup so attendees can learn how to protect some of their most valuable assets. The workshop is free for members and only $5 for non-members, and will be hosted at the City Council Chambers at Lake Tahoe Airport from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The expansion to the North Shore continues with the first ever TRYP mixer in Truckee. Join TRYP on Thursday, September 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for this great networking opportunity at Mellow Fellow. The night will feature an amazing selection of craft beers and tasty food. Admission is free for members and just $10 for non-members.

Wrapping up the month, TRYP members will be volunteering for the South Tahoe Cleanup Day on Saturday September 20 from 9:00 a.m. to noon as part of the Great Sierra River Cleanup. All members are encouraged to sign up to volunteer and help keep our waterways clean and clear.
