Fundraiser for seriously injured South Lake Tahoe man

Event Date:
September 24, 2016 - 2:00pm

Tim Anderson, a South Lake Tahoe flooring contractor, was run over by a car near his home on August 24. He was air-lifted to a trauma center where he remains in critical condition with a tracheotomy, internal injuries, a broken pelvis, broken ribs, scapulas, and other serious injuries. He is breathing on a ventilator and cannot yet talk.

Tim's three sons, Christian, Corey (& fiancé April) and Cameron, and his best friends, Andy, Jody and Joe have been by his side, as well as the Reilly family, Mickey, Mark, and his grandchildren.

Anderson, who has lived in South Lake Tahoe for 40 years,is an avid fisherman, snowboarder, skier, dirt biker and surfer. His son Cameron just graduated from South Tahoe High this past June and won several scholarships to attend the Fire Academy at Lake Tahoe Community College.

The elder Anderson is facing a long road to recover and rehabilitation as he learns to walk again.

With no medical benefits, the bills are mounting.

Besides a GoFundMe.comm page, the community is gathering for a fundraiser on Saturday, September 24 at Steamer's Bar & Grill from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be live music, with food and drinks for sale. All net proceeds will go directly to Anderson's fund.

An account has also been set up at U.S. Bank in Tim Anderson's name.
