Third annual Meet and Greet connects Mt. Tallac students with community

For the third year, Mt. Tallac High School started off their school year with a community "meet and greet," bringing their students and community members together.

Students greeted their guests with a handshake and a warm hello, something Principal Holly Greenough hopes gives her students a good introduction to community leaders who could possibly be their future employers.

Greenough said this year was the biggest year for attendance from the community, and in fact fielded phone calls prior to the school year from local employees to find out when the "meet and greet" would take place.

The students gave each adult they met a brief interview to find out how they got to Lake Tahoe and in the position they were in. As incentive to ask many questions, the students received raffle tickets.

For some, it was the first time for the Mt. Tallac students to shake hands and talk to business owners and other community members.
