They sent the students onto the red carpet, down the stairs to more cheering, and dancing, and more red carpet, as they made their way onto a ski lift at Sierra-at-Tahoe.

Dear John, Steve, Mo and Sombreros,

Thank you so much for all you did for us on the day we hiked Mt. Tallac. We enjoyed your company and couldn't have done it without you guys as our chaperones, or your encouragement.

The healthy, thoughtfully put together snack bags were so good, even the chipmunks were eyeballing them. They gave us the fuel to climb up the mountain and the taco truck gave us the motivation to do it. The tacos were delicious and so were delicious and so were the brownies!

"As a school we chose people and organizations to give to," said school Principal Holly Greenough. "Since most of our students don't have the means to donate food and money we showed alternative ways they can give back."

Bob Lear, a board member of Christmas Cheer, approached Mt. Tallac Principal Holly Greenough when he was concerned of how the agency would be able to supply all they need to the community after the loss of one of their big donors.

The business of second chances is everyone’s business. Choose your path!

Dear Mrs. Murdock, I’d like to thank you for taking your time to come every Monday morning to help me with all my work. Thank you for caring about my education and for driving across town to help me even when I am not always welcoming and sometimes don’t want to do any work. It may not seem like it all the time but I count on your support and am grateful you don’t give up on me.
