Wind, rain, snow and sunshine all in in the South Lake Tahoe forecast

Fall in Lake Tahoe normally brings with it a myriad of temperatures and conditions, and this year is no different. When Fall starts on Thursday, there is a 30 percent chance of rain, chance of snow above 7,000 feet wind and a high of 55.

Starting today, a small weather system is passing by the lake, bringing with it
a lake wind advisory that runs from 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. Expect winds from the Southwest from 15 to 25 mph and gusts up to 40 mph. Waves could reach 2 to 4 feet. Kayaks and paddle board will be prone to capsizing and should remain off the lake.

Today: Scattered showers before 11:00 a.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. Breezy, with a southwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Tonight - Mostly clear, with a low around 36. Breezy, with a southwest wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.

Thursday - A 30 percent chance of showers after 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 55. Southwest wind around 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Thursday Night - A 20 percent chance of showers before 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 28. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday - Sunny, with a high near 63. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 34.

Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 73.
