Keep Sierra Clean at Sierra-at-Tahoe

Everyone and anyone who loves Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort and its breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe is invited to come up to participate in Keep Sierra Clean and ride the lift as we clean up the mountain in preparation for winter!
We'll be trying to break last year's trash collection of 1,800 pounds - come on out and lend a day to giving back to the environment that gives you so much joy all winter long.
This year’s collection effort will cover some of the most impacted trails and base area locations, as well as spread out across areas that have not been covered by previous year’s events. All of the trash will be weighed and collected, with prizes given in a variety of categories. There will be complimentary lunch served with live music and a ski/snowboard swap, so pull out your retro gear and get ready to swap til 3pm!

Participants should come prepared to navigate steep and sometimes rocky terrain with sturdy footwear. Work gloves are recommended. To help keep the event low-impact, participants should also bring their own water bottles and buckets for trash collection.

Event schedule:
10:00 a.m. registration begins
10:30 a.m. head out on the mountain on the chairlift
12:00 p.m. live music
12:30 p.m. gather by the main lodge to weigh trash
12:30 p.m. lunch begins
1:30 p.m. prizes distributed
2:00 p.m. ski swap begins
3:00 p.m. event concludes
