Viking Corner: This Week at South Tahoe High

Students of South Tahoe High School get ready for spirit week and homecoming. Seniors attend a meeting for college preparation.

On Campus

Next week, students will dress according to the theme of the day for Spirit Week. Homecoming is themed “Mardi Gras,” a celebration of resilience and diversity. Monday is jesters, Tuesday is masks, Wednesday is princesses and princes, Thursday is king and queen, and Friday is class colors. The homecoming parade is on Friday at 4:00 p.m. from T.J. Maxx to the high school football field. The homecoming dance is on Saturday 7-10 p.m. in the Student Union.

Seniors attended a Free Application for Federal Student Aid meeting on Thursday. Counselors informed students and parents about the FAFSA, helping them to fill it out before college applications.

Athletics

Football (1-4) has a home game Friday night against Lowry High School (4-1) on the STHS football field at 7 p.m.

Volleyball (8-1) is traveling to Spring Creek High School (3-7) Friday, and play Elko High School (7-3) on Saturday.

Boys Soccer (7-2) travels to Spring Creek High School (3-5-1) Friday and play Elko (3-3-3) on Saturday.

Girls Soccer (8-0-2) host Spring Creek High School (4-2-3) on Friday and host Elko (4-2-3) on Saturday.
