Monthly Nevada gaming report: Lake Tahoe area casinos post gains

STATELINE, Nev. - Nevada’s non-restricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $822,676,544 for the month of October 2020, the fifth month of casinos reopening in the state after being closed due to the coronavirus. This amounts to a 19.50 percent decrease compared to October 2019, when licensees reported a gaming win of $1,021,966,875, according to the monthly report released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board today.
Casinos on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe had a "win" of $21,622,126, up 10.87 percent from October 2019. Lake Tahoe was the only area in the state to have double-digit gains - North Lake Tahoe casinos saw a 21.98 percent gain in the "win" with their reported $2,260,807.
The "gaming win" represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.
The State has collected $355,213,651 in percentage fees to date for the fiscal year which began July 1.
Washoe County posted a gain in their win by 3.39 percent, but the North Lake Tahoe portion of the county saw a drop of 8.77 percent. ,
The North Shore casinos show a win of $2,348,403 with the whole county at $78,822,688.
The Carson Valley casinos had a win of $10,065,179, up 1.9 percent from the same month in 2019.
South Shore casinos reported a "win" of $5,902,000 on table games, $15,720,000 on slot machines in October.
