South Shore casinos again perform better than most of Nevada

STATELINE, Nev. - Nevada’s non-restricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $771,162,743 for the month of November 2020, the sixth month of casinos reopening in the state after being closed due to the coronavirus. This amounts to a 17.75 percent decrease compared to November 2019, when licensees reported a gaming win of $937,533,406, according to the monthly report released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board today.

Casinos on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe had a "win" of $17,140,320, up 23.7 percent from November 2019. South Lake Tahoe was one of three areas in the state to have double-digit gains.

The "gaming win" represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.

The State has collected $405,094,373 in percentage fees to date for the fiscal year which began July 1.

Washoe County posted a loss of 3.21 percent as a whole but areas outside of Reno, Sparks, and North Lake Tahoe saw a gain over one year ago of 50.77 percent.

The North Shore casinos show a "win" up 3.97 percent gain, $1,826,905. The county as a whole, $66,735,617.

The Carson Valley casinos had a win of $8,940,943, up 1.83 percent from the same month in 2019.

South Shore casinos reported a "win" of $5,902,000 on table games, $15,720,000 on slot machines in October.
