Holiday in History adds new events for a weekend full of activities

The Lake Tahoe Historical Society invites the community to their annual "Holiday in History" event December 13-14. They will have a Victorian Christmas scene in the museum, free tours of the 1930's log cabin, a special phone with a direct line to the North Pole so kids can talk to Santa, refreshments and free giant snowflakes with qualifying purchases.

They will have both buildings open Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This year they are adding community events on Saturday, December 13 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. which will include the Menorah lighting, caroling by the South Lake Tahoe Children's Choral Society, the SLT Fire Department's decorated truck, a tree lighting and Santa Claus arriving by sleigh to the Senior Center to hear children's requests for Christmas.
