Weather - South Lake Tahoe will have a high of 32 and a low of 15. Today: Occasional flurries before 10am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 32. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 15. West wind around 5 mph.

Heavenly - Powder. 8" New Snow in last 24 hours. 98% of their terrain is now open which means 4700 acres, 28 lifts and 95 runs are open. The base depth is 63". Lift status. Occasional flurries before 10am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 25. Blustery, with a northwest wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.

Message from Heavenly: We received 8" in the past 24 hours, with the majority falling during the day yesterday! Today's forecast is calling for occasional flurries before 10:00 am, and then partly sunny skies this afternoon, with a high near 25°. Light-moderate NW winds are expected with possible strong gusts. Weather permitting; we will have 28 lifts spinning from 8:30am-4:00pm giving access to 95 runs, of which nearly 50% were freshly groomed overnight. Our groomers suggest Ridge Run in CA and Orion in NV as their trail picks of the day!

Sierra-at-Tahoe - Powder/Packed Powder. 2" new snow. 11 lifts are open. Burton Progressive, Bashful and Upper Snowshoe pipes are open. Groomed conditions on 31 of their open 45 runs. Base depth is 48". Lift status. Mostly sunny, with a high near 30. East wind 6 to 8 mph becoming west in the afternoon.

Kirkwood - Powder/Packed Powder. 2" new snow. 100% of the mountain terrain is open with 2300 acres, 10 lifts and 86 runs. 65" base.Lift status. The base depth is 66". Mostly sunny, with a high near 28. East northeast wind 7 to 10 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon.

Snowfall totals are nearing the 200” mark for the 15/16 season. NWS forecast models hinting at a pattern shift for next week with several chances for precipitation. Large differences between GFS & ECMWF model solutions with timing and track of each system as jet stream shifts further south…
