Weather - South Lake Tahoe will have a high of 42 and a low tonight of 27. Today: Snow showers, mainly after 10am. High near 42. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible. Tonight: Snow showers, mainly after 4am. Low around 27. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Heavenly - Packed Powder. No New Snow in last 24 hours. 99% of their terrain is now open which means 4750 acres, 27 lifts and 96 runs are open. The base depth is 63". Terrain Parks open - Groove (13 features) High Roller (12 features) & Family Cross (9 features). Lift status.Scattered snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 31. Windy, with a south wind around 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Message from Heavenly: Please note: North Bowl and Boulder Lifts are closed for the day. Also, starting today, Boulder lodge will only be open on the weekends/Holidays. Today's forecast is calling for mostly cloudy skies, moderate S winds, and a high near 32. 25 are lifts spinning until 4:00pm giving access to over 90 trails, of which nearly 50% were freshly groomed overnight. Our groomers trail picks of the day are Ridge Run in CA and Olympic Downhill in NV!

Sierra-at-Tahoe - Packed Powder. No new snow. 100% of the terrain is now open. 9 lifts are open. Burton Progressive, Bashful and Upper Snowshoe pipes are open. Groomed conditions on 31 of their open 45 runs. Base depth is 39". Lift status. Snow likely, mainly after 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. Light and variable wind becoming south 13 to 18 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Kirkwood - Packed Powder. No new snow. 100% of the mountain terrain is open with 2300 acres, 12 lifts and 86 runs. 66" base. Lift status. Snow, mainly after 10am. High near 33. South wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Here is the latest NWS – Unsettled weather this week with several systems moving through the area. Rain and mountain snow is likely from time to time, especially into Tuesday, and later Wednesday into Thursday. More significant precipitation and stronger winds will develop over interior NorCal tonight into Tuesday as the trough presently west of 130W moves onshore. This system will have a tap to a deeper TPW plume of around an inch and stronger forcing for heavier precip. Snow levels briefly bump up to 5000-6000 feet tonight, but then lower Tuesday as the trough moves in. A half inch to an inch of rain may fall in the valley with up to 3 inches in the mountains. A winter storm warning has been posted with a foot of snow possible across the passes.
