The popular annual event allows guests to experience 20 family-owned wineries throughout El Dorado County, with each winery offering signature food and wine tastings, reserve wines, and other surprises. After a switch to a reservation-based event in 2021, Passport will return to its original Open House format.

Food, wine and spirits will be the stars at Harrah's Lake Tahoe's 8th annual South Lake Tahoe Food and Wine Festival. October 27-29.
Activities begin Friday evening, Oct. 27, with a Whiskey Tasting at Cliché Lounge on the 16th floor of Harrah’s hotel. Enjoy tasting a variety of whiskeys from around the world, which are “Crafted,” using different processes to create amazing varieties of whiskey.

The Beach Retreat and Lodge will be the spot this weekend for the inaugural "Taste of Tahoe." The two-day event, May 20-21, will include an art show, wine tasting and food pairing.
On Friday, May 20, the event is kicked off with the Art Show and Wine Tasting event in the hotel's new conference center and it will wrap up with a Pairings Dinner on Saturday created by their chef, Garrett Florea, and Crystal Basin Winery.

Attendees will vote for the booth that has their favorite flavorful creation that includes fresh ingredients that are prepared by a local chef or restaurant and then paired with regional wine, beer or spirits. The booth with the most votes will be awarded the Best Tasting Experience of 2014.

Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe, a 94-member non-profit community-service organization of professional and business women from California and Nevada announced their 2012 - 2013 Board of Directors at Harrah’s Resort in Stateline, June 27.
SI Sierra Nevada Region Governor-Elect Janice Labadie, a florist from Davis, Calif. and Regional Secretary Patricia Papp, a South Lake Tahoe Realtor and member of sister organization SI Tahoe Sierra, were both on hand to install the new board.
