A Final Wave for 'The Waver' Ed Carlson today in Reno
Submitted by Editor on Tue, 01/01/2013 - 6:51amFans of the late Ed Carlson, known as "The Waver" to Northern Nevadans, will pay tribute to his life and the many lives he touched at noon today, New Year's Day, at Reno City Plaza for a short memorial service, according to a news release.
Following the service attendees will then walk one mile south on South Virginia Street while waving to oncoming traffic as The Waver did for some many years before returning to City Plaza.
