SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - All are welcome to join Aprés Ski Hannukah on December 26, whether you are a long-time Temple Bat Yam (TBY) member, connected to the Tahoe Jewish Community, visiting the area, or just want to help the local Jewish community celebrate!

3:30 p.m. – Come grab some hot chocolate after a day on the slopes, work, or whatever way you’re enjoying your day. We’ll have hot chocolate, latkes, and other goodies to celebrate this 2nd Night of Hannukah

Chris will discuss how winter is going so far, and show the latest forecasts for the rest of winter and what that means for our region going into 2025.

Scoping meeting on proposed Barton Hospital facility at Lake Tahoe

January 16, 2025 - 5:00pm

LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev. - The public is invited to comment on the scope of the environmental assessment (EA) for the new Barton Health hospital project at Stateline. The EA will evaluate any potential environmental impacts of the project and amendments required to the South Shore Area Plan (SSAP) for construction.

The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA), Barton Hospital, and the Douglas County Community Development Planning Division (Douglas County) are seeking public comments and will hold a scoping meeting on January 16.

Get groovy at the Disco Prom fundraiser for Whittell 7th-9th grade NY/Boston trip

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. – In April 2025, students from George Whittell in grades 7-9 will embark on the trip of a lifetime to Boston and New York. This Spring Break trip is being organized by Mrs. Heather Lamb, Whittell's Mathematics teacher, in conjunction with Global Travel Alliance. This journey will offer students the chance to explore U.S. history, cultural landmarks, and iconic sites while connecting classroom lessons to real-world experiences.

Kirkwood Mountain Resort to host Yeti Natural Selection Duel

KIRKWOOD, Calif. – Kirkwood Mountain Resort will be hosting a YETI Natural Selection DUEL during the first stage of the 2025 Natural Selection Tour from January 24–30, 2025.

Volunteers and donations needed for Night to Shine, a prom for individuals with disabilities

February 7, 2025 (All day)

Night to Shine will be held on February 7, 2025, at the Tahoe Blue Event Center. Organizers have already started planning and need the community's help.

Night to Shine is a promlike experience for individuals with disabilities who are 14 years old and above. The Tim Tebow Foundation sponsors it. Mountain House is the host church, and Access Tahoe is helping support this event.
