Board members sought by Tahoe Regional Young Professionals group

The Tahoe Regional Young Professionals group seeks three new Board of Director positions: an Assistant Executive Director, Finance and Special Events Director. Application and nominations are being accepted until May 5. The current Board of Directors will conduct interviews, May 7-9, vote and announce the newest additions to the organization mid-May.

The U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit will soon begin the annual process of opening recreational facilities around the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Purchase Of ‘Air Time’ Not Frequent But Some Nevada Lawmakers Want to Review

CARSON CITY – A little-known benefit of Nevada’s public employee pension plan is the right to purchase up to five years of service towards retirement.
Referred to by some as “air time,” or the ability to add years of retirement without actually putting in the time in a public sector job, the benefit can allow state and local government workers to retire early, collecting annual pensions years before they would be eligible otherwise.

Snow golf tournament at Alpine Meadows

Wine Tasting and Art Auction feature Thomas Kinkade Prints

The El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce Education Council will hold its annual Wine Tasting/Art Auction on Friday, May 4, 2012, at 6 p.m. where ten Thomas Kinkade framed prints, along with artwork from other area artists, will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
David Girard Vineyard will be the site where the Wine Tasting/Art Auction will take place, and the Wine Tasting will feature fine David Girard Vineyard wines.

Tahoe Choir presents 'Radio Daze'

Tickets are now available from Tahoe Choir members for their 41st spring concerts; they will be performed at LTCC"s Duke Theatre on Friday and Saturday evenings May 4-5 at 8:00 PM and on Sunday, May 6 at 2:00 PM. Adults are $l0 and seniors and students $8. Tickets will be available at the door l/2 hour before performances.
