Tahoe Forest Stewardship Day Spring

Event Date:
June 17, 2023 (All day)

When: Saturday, June 17 | 9 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Meeks Meadow | Forest Rte 14N42, Tahoma, CA 96142

Volunteers of all ages and skill levels are invited to this fun, hands-on, in-the-field event. By pitching in, you will help improve the ecosystem function and the wildlife habitats that surround Lake Tahoe. Healthy forests and meadows act as natural pollution filters to Keep Tahoe Blue. The site we will be working in is one mile off of the Meeks Bay trailhead.

This work is the start of a multi-year restoration project led by the Washoe Environmental Protection Department to bring the meadow back to a resilient natural filter for Lake Tahoe.

Work is from 9 am – 12:30 pm and lunch is from 12:30 – 1:30 pm.
