Kudos: Ricky's contribution to our community

Our town of South Lake Tahoe has been blessed in numerous ways: the beauty of our lake and surrounding mountains, the strong sense of community and the unbelievable generosity of some incredible people who have inspired.

Recently, Tahoe Turning Point, a nonprofit in town who changes lives, received a generous donation from Ricky Reich. Ricky’s desire to make our community a better place is evident by his contribution to Tahoe Turning Point.

Ricky has been working side by side with Lisa Maloff to serve our community in unimaginable ways. Ricky understands that in order for our community to be healthy, we must support and take care of everyone, even those on the fringes of society. Many of the clients of Tahoe Turning Point have never experienced childhood; they have been living in triage most of their lives. According to Father Greg Boyle, founder of Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles, for us to make a difference, “You stand with the least likely to succeed until success is succeeded by something more valuable: kinship. You stand with the belligerent, the surly and the badly behaved until bad behavior is recognized for the language it is: the vocabulary of the deeply wounded and those whose burdens are more than they can carry.”

Ricky, you are one of the special people who drive change. Your $25,000 donation will make a difference in many lives. Thank you for walking beside us to make South Lake Tahoe a better place.
