Women as Change Makers Summit

A one-day summit celebrating the women* of Reno - Lake Tahoe - Truckee.  Women As Change Makers (WACM) is designed to provide women with the tools, knowledge, and network to take their business or career to the next level. Become inspired through the collective synergy of women. Leave enlivened with new skills and new friends.

WACM is an annual event benefiting Zawadisha, a local social enterprise whose mission is to provide small loans to Kenyan women to help finance their livelihoods. WACM is a bridge that connects the two communities we call home.

Through authentic dialogue and meaningful interaction with women who have forged their own paths of change, you will leave with an expanded sense of possibility. Take a day to nourish yourself, your career, and your community and learn how to become your own change maker.

In addition to our outstanding speakers, this year’s event will include a pitch competition for local, female-owned businesses. This is an opportunity to take your business beyond the boardroom and deepen engagement within a supportive community. Find inspiration through other women who are pushing business boundaries. Companies of all sizes and in all stages are encouraged to apply by August 12.
