Buddy the bear

Hi. I’m Buddy the bear. I guess that’s my name because I hear people calling me that. “Hey Buddy get out of here.” Or “There’s that bear, Bud get out of here. Maybe my name is Get out of here. I live in the neighborhood at South Lake Tahoe. I have lived here a long time. I like it because the people are good to me. They put food in the garage for me. I get the big bags out, doesn’t have a good smell. Kind of like the dried grass in the field. Some time I share it with some noisy four legged animals. I see the people give them food first and then they put it back in the garage for me to take. Once in awhile I get hungry for pizza and I go to the corner and they have a great big garbage can with a big black lid I can almost fit inside it. And I have pizza for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I had to hide one night because this cute blonde lady came by with a huge four legged animal on a long chain. Something scared her. She looked at me and ran. I looked around to see what scared her. Have to be careful out here. I was happy with my bag of food when she came back in a big thing with four round tires. I know that because I see those things all over here. My cousins on the lake side got stuck inside one and people came and it was scary. Someone flashed a light in my face. I ran behind a bush and peeked around to make sure they didn’t get my bag of food. They kept on going.

After I ate I went up the street to see what else was in the carports. I have my favorite place to sleep its warm I lay on the pine needles. I can hear the people inside walking around and now someone is opening the door. “Look he’s out here, under the deck. His head is as big as a beach ball and he’s as long as a loveseat. He’s huge!”

Boy I hope I don’t see that big thing. I don’t know what happened to the garbage cans, before I could get in them real fast. Now they’re stuck on and I can’t get them off easy. I saw some people spin the tops around to put their food in. It made me dizzy.

I can’t get any rest here. I’ll walk up the street and go through that nice lady’s yard. She has flowers I like to eat for a snack, but I’m tired tonight. I go across her bridge to the field. Now I can get some sleep. Tomorrow is another day.
