Fast-moving storm and snow causing issues on Lake Tahoe roads

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Heavy snow hit the Lake Tahoe Basin quickly on Friday, creating issues on many of the area roads. Traffic has been held at times on US50, SR207, and I80 due to stranded vehicles and adverse conditions.
As of 4:30 p.m., the following issues are being experienced:
SR207/Kingsbury Grade - Temporarily closed as to allow snowplows to clear roads and stranded motorists to be assisted.
US50 at Sierra-at-Tahoe Road - Spinout, waiting for a tow truck
US50 west of Sierra-at-Tahoe - Stuck vehicles
US50 at Echo Summit - Vehicle versus a Caltrans snowplow
Pioneer Trail at Mandan - Stuck vehicle
Pioneer Trail at Arapahoe - Stuck vehicles
Pioneer Trail at Golden Bear and Elks Club - Traffic hazards
Black Bart at Martin - Vehicle off the roadway
Lake Tahoe Blvd and North Upper Truckee - Stuck vehicles
Lake Tahoe Blvd at Mule Deer - Multiple spin-outs
Lake Tahoe Blvd at Angora Creek Dr. - Several stuck vehicles and collision
North Upper Truckee at Mount Rainer - Stuck vehicle
These are just the incidents on the South Shore and several more are currently hampering travel on the North Shore.

Conditions can change quickly and the winter weather advisory is slated to end at 10 p.m. Friday.
