Lake Tahoe weather forecast: Dry and mostly sunny

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - High pressure with inversions and increased air stagnation will remain over the region through at least the middle of the week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno. A weak disturbance will be possible late this week, but minimal chances for rain or snow. Temperatures will remain seasonable for the next few days, rising
to slightly above average mid to late week.

As far as precipitation goes, it looks like we are in for a fairly long streak of drier than normal conditions, potentially lasting to around the end of January. Additional weak systems may move into the region over the next week or two, but the overall pattern doesn`t support the return of significant storms until after the end of the month.
