Missing El Dorado County 11-year-old boy found deceased

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - The Placerville Police Department held a press conference at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, announcing they had found the body of an 11-year-old they had been searching for.
On Saturday, police were notified that the almost 12-year-old Roman Anthony Lopez was missing from his Placerville home on Coloma St. After an extensive search of the area, involving multiple agencies, Roman was found deceased on January 12.
"This event is very tragic for all involved and we appreciate your patience while we conduct a thorough investigation," said the Placerville Police Department in a press release.

At this time, no further information is available and it is still an active investigation.
