COVID-19 testing updates for LTUSD staff and students

There has been a significant increase in the number of COVID-19 tests administered at the Al Tahoe school site for students and staff of Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) over the past few days.

LTUSD is currently out of PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests, and rapid antigen tests are only available at this time. They are working with the California Department of Health to get more of the PCR tests by Thursday.

COVID-19 testing at the Al Tahoe Site, 1100 Lyons Ave., South Lake Tahoe, is only for LTUSD staff and students

Beginning on Wednesday, January 12, COVID testing at the Al Tahoe site will end at 2:00 p.m. Time is needed to pack up the samples collected that day and get them to FedEx before 3:00 p.m. so they do not miss the daily shipping deadline.

Wednesday - 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Thursday - 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
riday - 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

All using the testing site must pre-register:

Students - https://home.color.com/covid/sign-up/start?partner=961903students
