Two people have been arrested in the New Year's Day butane extraction lab explosion in El Dorado County.
El Dorado County Fire and deputies from the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office responded to the 3:25 p.m. call of an explosion in a home in the 5100 block of Pony Express Trail in Camino.
Joshua Jamison, 39, was at the home when the explosion occurred and suffered burns to his face. He was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
A juvenile, age unknown, was also transported to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation and was later released. Two other juveniles were found to be inside the home when the explosion occurred but they were uninjured.
After an investigation into the explosion, Jamison was arrested along with 33-year-old Carinda Nafus on January 11.
Jamison and Nafus were both placed under arrest for manufacturing a controlled substance, child endangerment and recklessly causing a fire. They were both booked into El Dorado County Jail and are each being held on $320,000.00 bail.
