Cars crash into two different snow removal vehicles in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Two vehicles ran into two pieces of snow removal equipment within yards of each other in South Lake Tahoe Sunday morning.

El Dorado County had snow removal operations on North Upper Truckee Road near US-50 just after 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 15.

A Tesla and a Toyota 4Runner were involved according to the California Highway Patrol report. An ambulance was on the scene but nobody has been transported at this time.

Both lanes of Upper Truckee Road are closed until the vehicles can be removed. This road is used by many trying to bypass the traffic and road controls on US50 before heading west and going up Echo Summit.
