Kenny Curtzwiler running again for El Dorado County supervisor for Area 5

I have lived, worked, and enjoyed South Lake Tahoe as a resident since 1977 when I came here for a vacation and stayed on as so many have. What makes me qualified for this position?

Commitment. I have been married for 40 years, built our dream home, raised three children, and have owned a Tree Service and Firewood business, Construction Clean Up and Hauling Service since 1981.
I am a twenty-year veteran having joined the Nevada Army National Guard at age thirty, where I retired as a Major. At age 37, I completed Air Assault school and at age 44, completed the Marine Winter Warfare Mountain Leader Instructor’s course.

I always held two jobs up until I was 52 years old. I was a firm believer in upholding family values and being a provider for my family. I worked at The Waystation, Heavenly Valley Ski Resort, Sahara Tahoe in Room Service (2 years) and Carlos Murphy’s Bartender (20 years) Tudor Pub Bartender (3 years)

Accountability. I have written an article as The Skibum for over 22 years about what is happening in our community. I wrote for The Entertainer (where I got my start), Tahoe Daily Tribune, and The Mountain News. The one thing I have always questioned is the accountability of our local agencies.

Involvement. I am very active in our community both personally and professionally through my company where we have provided labor, monetary donations, and services to all local community fundraisers and events. Anyone who has ever asked for help I have given it. Over the course of my time here in Tahoe, we, our company and personally, have donated more than $150,000 to our community.

City Of South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Kyburz, Pollock Pines, a portion of Camino, Strawberry, Tahoma, and Echo Summit, I am once again, asking for your vote of confidence, trust, and accountability in seeking the position of Supervisor District V in El Dorado County.
