RE/MAX Reality Affiliates, a Minden real estate network, donated $5,750 to the Douglas County Community and Senior Center for one year naming rights of the Dining Room and eight electronic score boards in the gymnasium.
“We saw this as a great opportunity for us to support an amazing cause,” said John Fisher, broker and owner of the network.
The network generously stepped forward at the opening ceremony of the Community Center on December 6th, 2014 to provide the donation.
“The Foundation is proud to be partnered with RE/MAX Realty in making the new Community and Senior Center facility fully functional said,” Foundation Chairman Bob Cook.
The Douglas County Community Services Foundation is still collecting funds to help furnish and complete the inside of the center. The Foundation was formed in 2011 to support community and senior centers in Douglas County, at the Lake and Valley.
The Foundation acts as a liaison between the government of Douglas County and the private donor in order to maximize and meet the private donor’s wishes.
