Nevada monthly gaming report: South Shore casinos drop, Nevada revenues increase

Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,314,478,876 for the month of December 2022, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board's monthly report released today. This amounts to a 14.3 percent increase compared to December 2021, when licensees reported a gaming win of $1,149,986,166. For the fiscal year to date (July 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022), the gaming win has slightly increased, up by 2.87 percent.

The "gaming win" represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.

For Lake Tahoe's south shore, the "win" revenue was $15,651,871, a 15.71 percent decrease from December 2021. For their fiscal year, revenue win is up by 25.29 percent when compared to the previous period. The South Shore fiscal year-to-date is $143,212,617.

On the south shore, $5,912,000 came from table games and $15,652,000 from slots.

Carson Valley area casinos reported a $10,314,291 gaming win, down 6.49 percent. On the North Shore, the reported gaming win of $2,053,183 was down 0.85 percent. The Tahoe Biltmore closed in April 2022.

Casinos in Reno, Sparks, and other areas of Washoe County mostly saw gaming-related revenue with a positive increase, with Sparks seeing the biggest gain, up 24.4 percent, Reno, up 6.67 percent, and the county as a whole, up 9.10 percent.

Year-to-date, Nevada has collected $550,841,983 in percentage fee collections.
