City seeks a vendor to provide food, beverage services at Lakeview Commons

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The City of South Lake Tahoe is looking for those interested in running the food and beverage concession stand at Lakeview Commons this summer.

Sierra-at-Tahoe had the previous concession at the popular lakefront site but they fulfilled the term of their agreement and chose not extend the option to continue. South Tahoe Standup Paddle took their option of operating water rentals for another three-season term.

The City has released a request for proposal (RFP) and is looking for interested applicants with a history of experience in the food and beverage industry to submit a proposal for the multi-year agreement.

“Lakeview Commons is a hotspot for locals and visitors alike during the summer,” said Recreation Superintendent Lauren Thomaselli, “The concession stand is always a popular destination and we are looking for someone to keep that tradition going.”

Applicants must register as a vendor through this website. Once registered applicants can download the RFP and sample concessionaire agreement. That agreement will include details on the facility and the application process.

Proposals are due by 5:00 p.m. on February 12, 2021. A selection committee will then review those proposals to make a recommendation to Council in March with service to begin in Spring of 2021.
