Casinos win over $12M on Super Bowl LV betting

While this weekend's Super Bowl Weekend was far from normal, fans and gamblers still found a way to bet on the Kansas City Chiefs-Tampa Bay Buccaneers game.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board announced today that $136,096,460 was wagered in the state on the game that had Tampa Bay beating Kansas City by a score of 31-9. Casinos kept $12,574,125, a win of 9.2 percent.

The 2014 Super Bowl between Seattle and Denver was the biggest revenue generator for Nevada casinos over the last ten years. That year, $119,400,822 was wagered and casinos won 16.5 percent of that, or $19,673,960. Seattle beat Denver that year, 43-8.

The largest amount wagered over the last decade was in 2018 when $158,586,934 was bet on the Philadelphia-New England game. Casinos kept just 1.7 percent that year.
