Webinar on measuring Tahoe’s greenhouse gas emissions

Event Date:
March 5, 2021 - 10:30am

Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions trap heat in the atmosphere causing the climate to warm. Human caused emissions from vehicles, shipping, and more are leading to drastic climate changes that threaten Lake Tahoe. An inventory of Tahoe’s GHG emissions will measure local progress on emission reduction and identify areas for additional action.

Join the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, Sierra Business Council, and Spatial Informatics Group for this informational webinar about an updated GHG emission inventory for the Tahoe Basin. This webinar includes an overview of climate change, greenhouse gas emission inventories, the role of our forests in climate change, and next steps for addressing climate change at Lake Tahoe.

Date: Friday, March 5
