COVID-19 daily numbers for South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - There have been 105 new cases of COVID-19 and one new death recorded since yesterday in El Dorado County. This brings the total of COVID-19 cases in the county to 26,039. This does not include all at-home tests that may have been positive. Case rates continue to drop.
There are now 26.9 new cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 residents in the county.

To date, 193 El Dorado County residents have died from COVID-19. There was one new death recorded today: A male, age 65+ from Cameron Park, Shingle Springs, Rescue. This count does not include deaths still under investigation.
There are 24 (-1) hospitalized with 3 (+0) in the ICU in El Dorado County. Barton Hospital has 3 (-0) hospitalized COVID patients, Marshall Hospital in Placerville has 21 (-1). Barton has 0 ICU patients, Marshall has 3. There is no tracking of patients transferred from El Dorado County hospitals to regional hospitals, or county residents at other hospitals.
Currently, the State's website says there are 3 available ICU beds in the county, 1 at Barton Health in South Lake Tahoe, 2 at Marshall in Placerville. Bed capacity fluctuates daily based on many factors; therefore, the data posted on the State's site may not be an accurate depiction of the current situation.
